Earlene Rose Adams
Earlene Rose Adams, 86, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2026. She was born on September 7, 1939, to Rose Anderson and Elza Anderson.
Earlene was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, John Adams Sr.; her daughter, Ailene Thompson; and her great-granddaughter, Emma Drake.
She survives by her children, John Adams and wife Suzanne, Janice Adams, and Lora Adams. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Michael Thompson and wife Kara, Kristie Pearson and husband Christian, Dustin Adams and wife Ashley, Mitchell Thompson, Richelle Thompson, Abby Logan and husband Josh, Shawn Adams, Brianna Crockett and husband Robert, and Austin Divine. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren, Brynlee, Taylor, Lilly, Emma, Brexley, Adilynn, Remington, and Owen, along with many other family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
Earlene married in 1968, and they shared 49 years together
A woman of deep and abiding faith, Earlene loved the Lord and lived her life guided by His teachings. Her faith was reflected in the kindness, strength, and compassion she shared with those around her. She was a wonderful mother who taught her children the meaning of unconditional love and served as the rock of her family, holding everyone together through life’s joys and challenges.
Earlene worked for many years as a meat wrapper at Consumer’s Markets before retiring and beginning a second career as a crossing guard at Bowerman Elementary School. She took pride in caring for the children she helped and was known for her warm smile and friendly presence.
She found beauty in life’s simple pleasures, and she brought that same beauty and warmth into the lives of everyone she knew.
Though her family grieves her loss, they take comfort in the countless memories she leaves behind and the enduring example of faith, love, and strength she provided throughout her life.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Springfield, Missouri.
