Edward Henry Ulrich was born on September 5, 1945 in Vallejo, California. He went to be with the Lord on August 20, 2022 at 11:26 p.m. at his daughters home in Galena.
He was a Master Mason, and a member of Branson Lodge #587, 32nd Scottish Rite Mason of Joplin, Abou Ben Adhem Shrine Springfield and the Taney County Shrine Club.
Ed and his father owned and operated Ulrich Chevrolet-Buick in Phillipsburg, Kansas until he moved his family to Branson in 1985 and continued in the automotive industry, and in 1993 he bought Down Town Texaco in Branson which was and is currently family owned and operated. Mr. Ed has filled many roles in the auto industry and he was a proud and respected local business owner.
Ed and his bride had 3 kids and they never wanted for anything growing up.
His passion was loving and supporting his grandchildren and would rarely miss activities from dance recitals to wrestling tournaments, football games, rodeos, softball games, track, soccer games and more. Any time a grandkid or great grandkid had something going on, he and his honey bunny (Mynette) were there.
Ed was married to the love of his life for 52 years. He stood by her side until her last breathe.
He was preceded in death by his wife Mynette Ulrich and her twin sister Mary, his parents Henry and Helen Ulrich, his sister Esther Alexander and his mother and father in law, Marion and Lela Goldsmith.
He is survived by his son Dane Ulrich and daughter in law Lisa Ulrich; daughter, DeeDee Ulrich and friend James Burk; son, Dean Ulrich and wife Christi. Grandkids, Sgt. Adam Fields and his wife Hannah; Amanda Fields and fiancé Ryan Payne; Amber Inskeep and husband Brandon; Cassidy Garr and her husband Turner; Chennedy Green and her husband Ethan; Jacob Ulrich, Bryant Ulrich, Reagan Ulrich, Trinton Nicholson, step grandson Andy Elswick and wife April. Great Grandkids, Kinzlee, Addilyn, Macee, Penelope and Lynken. Sister in laws, Evelyn Johnson and Ginger Rust and husband Steve and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday August 25th from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. followed by service at 6:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Funeral Home on 248 in Branson with pastor William Durrant officiating.
