Eleanor G. Lowe, age 89, of Springfield, MO, passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2011. She was born January 8, 1922, to Carl and Anna (Johnson) Greendahl in Wisconsin.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, John, Arthur, and William; sisters, Ovadia Whitford and Myrtle Rhoades; husband, Carl; and daughter, Linda Greene.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Susan and Sidney Griffith; two granddaughters, Melanie McDermott and Jessica Johns-Steenbergen; a grandson, Jason Greene, six great-grandchildren, Julia, Allison and Gabrielle Johns, Harrison and Jillian McDermott and Lucas Steenbergen.
For 31 years “Mom Lowe” was the Dean of Women at Central Bible College.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Friday, March 25, 2011, in Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
