Elsie E. King was born in San Francisco, CA, on April 27, 1919. As a child, Elsie enjoyed dancing, acrobatics, and the trolley, or just walking through the city.
Elsie met her husband, Lewis, an enlisted man in the army. They married on November 30, 1940, in San Francisco. They would always call their anniversary “army payday”, as military personnel were paid the last day of the month. Their first and only child, Michael was born August 8, 1942. As a family they enjoyed traveling the world since Lewis was in the Army for over 20 years. They settled in New Jersey in the 1950’s through 1976.
Elsie worked in JJ Newberry Company in the 1960’s as a jewelry department head. Upon her husband’s retirement from the army; they moved to North Jersey. In 1976 they moved to Kansas. Elsie and Lewis attended Elm Christian Church and Christian Church in Kansas for many years. Elsie moved to Missouri in 2006 with her son, Michael and his wife Norma. She resided in Culpepper Place and then Brookhaven Healthcare until her death.
Her husband; son; three brothers and one sister precede her in death.
Elsie has three grandsons: Michael II, David, and James Frizell; six great grandchildren: Tristan Frizell, Teryn Frizell Irvin, Chandler, Victoria, & Alexandria Frizell, and Connor Frizell; one great great grandson Paxton Frizell.
