Emma Jane Arkin, born in Seminole, Oklahoma, February 5th, 1940, left this earth to be the angels on Saturday, October 12, 2019. She was 79 years old.
“Jane”, as she was known by friends and family, lived a full, beautiful life. She was an officer in the Air Force, one of the first Police Women in New York City in the 70's, Head of Security at SMSU for over 20 years, a wonderful friend, and the best Mom you could ask for. She loved with an open heart. Emma Jane is survived by her daughter, Mindy Spicer and her husband John. Her son Randy Arkin and his wife Terry. Three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Two brothers John Chatham and Frances White, Jr.
Her ashes will be laid at Linden Cemetery next to her mother Ellen Givens. A Celebration of Life will be planned for next year, 2020.
