I think about the best memories I have are from when we made a 4 ft moss and rock diarama I guess is what you would call it. All of us cousins were at Papa and Grandma Cochrans house and we all scavenged through the woods( stopping to eat blackberries of course) we found all the moss and items and assembled an awesome piece of art! Somewhere I still have pictures! I will see you on the other side love you cousin!
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this time of grief. May the peace of God fill your heart and may His presence be with you.
Raylene and Wenona,
We were deeply saddened to learn of Eric's passing. We are so sorry for your loss. We will keep your family in our prayers. All our love -Cassie & Jon
My deepest condolences to family, friends, and colleagues . Though I didn't have the privilege of knowing him personally, His dedication to service, and commitment to duty left a lasting impact on our community. May his legacy of bravery and selflessness serve as a source of comfort during this difficult time.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
Rest easy my brother. You always had a a special spot in my heart. We were stationed together in Hawaii. My heart breaks for you and your family.
My deepest sympathies to the Cochrane family. I served with Eric at Camp Pendleton, CA, from 2013-15. During our time together, I was doing A LOT of ceremonial prayers almost every week for changes of command and graduations. I was struggling a bit, but Eric helped me out. He wrote the BEST prayers and sent me a few. When I read them for the Marines, they were like, "That was great, Chaps. Did you write that?" I was like, "um...maybe? not really. No. Chaplain Cochrane did." Eric gave me a file of many of his prayers, and I used them often. I remember he often used phrases like "that chapter has now come to a close, only its last few lines wait to be written" and "a new chapter of life now awaits." He was telling the Marines that there is always some sadness that comes with change, but there is even greater hope in the new chapters of life waiting to be written. Eric was so wise, eloquent, and concise. I hope Eric's prayers, which he wrote so long ago to encourage others, still speak to you all now. May the comfort of our loving Savior be upon all of you. -Chaplain Mark Torres

We are so sorry for your loss. May our Lord and Savior give you comfort
I made 1 minor mistake on the Spelling of last names. Where I mentioned Graduation and being in line by him I wasnt thinking it was Chr & Coch which is correct. My apologies to the family .
Farewell brother. Eric and I were stationed together at Ft. Shafter.
I really didnt know Eric "that well" . But I remember he and I when in Graduation from HS I was right behind him in line. Chr & Cho . We had joked about it that day and every now and then chatted on Facebook .
My condolences to the family . RIP Eric .
Eric was my classmate at the Oslo American school. I was fortunate to reconnect with him on Facebook. My sincere condolences to his family.
Raylene, My condolences. I'm deeply sorry for your loss.
Eric was an incredible person. He helped me immensely while we served together during my first chaplain tour in Yuma.
Eric was always passionate about helping in our marriage education program for the young Marines.
I especially remember Eric's support when I went through a medical crisis not long after we arrived in Yuma. He stepped up and preached while I recovered.
You are in mine & Vicki's prayers.
Greg
I served with Eric at Marine Wing Support Squadron 371 in Yuma, AZ. I was a squad leader in the Military Police platoon, and he was our squadron Chaplain. Eric’s compassion for the Marines and Sailors in the unit was remarkable. During our deployment to Afghanistan, he helped me work through the loss of four Marines from and infantry unit we worked closely with, as well as a medical emergency suffered by my toddler son. My deepest condolences to Eric’s family and friends. May his memories carry you through your grief.
Please accept our deepest condolences for your family's loss.
