Ethel America Harp, age 86, of Humansville, MO, formerly of Pleasant Hope , was born November 7, 1924, in Kissee Mills, MO., to Claude and Esther Collins. She went to be with the Lord , Saturday, July 16, 2011.
She was preceded in death by her husband of seventy years, William Arthur Harp, March 17, 2011; her parents; one sister Mary Kennedy; five brothers – in – law, Harley Kennedy, Waren Avery Harp, Harley Ronald Harp, Harvey Donald Harp, and Lee Phillips.
She is survived by her two sons, Arthur Junior Harp and wife Juanita of Fair Grove, and Charles Richard Harp and wife Sandy of Pleasant Hope; two daughters, Linda Ivonne Wadkins of Springfield, and LaDena Lavonne Prewitt and husband Les of Ozark;twelve grandchildren; twenty – three great grandchildren ; three sisters Melba Phillips of Fair Grove, Claudia Garrison and husband Bob of Springfield, and Betty White and husband Jim of Springfield; three sister – in – laws Rosemary Harp and husband Arvil Lee of Nixa, Toy Harp of Nixa, and Clara Lene (Susie) Rice of Columbia; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends that will miss her.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, July 20, 2011, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North, Springfield, MO with Pastor Fred Pritchett officiating. Burial will be held in Pleasant Hope Cemetery, Pleasant Hope, MO. Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm on Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
