He passed away on August 24, 2020 in Springfield, Missouri.
Gene was born on October 23, 1942 in Atchison, Kansas the son of Eugene C. Dillon and Mary Gilmore Dillon. He had been a resident of the area since 1972. He owned and operated Dillon’s Pub at one time. He retired from the U.S. Army as a Lt. Colonel. He enjoyed boating, camping and ballroom dancing.
Survivors are his wife: Donna Dodd of the home in Hollister, Missouri. Three step-children; Natalee Ball of Ozark, Missouri, Aaron Ball of Hollister, Missouri and Jillian Ball Roberg (Mike) of Evergreen, Colorado. Two sons; Tony Dillon (Anna) Springfield, Missouri and Chris Dillon of Ponoma, California. One brother and one sister, four grandchildren; Landry Schneider, Ines and Simon Dillon and Lilah Parham. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
