Eula Fay Briggs (Irvine), passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at her home in Arlington, TX. Eula was born to Edwin and Abby (Johnson) Irvine in Mount Vernon, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her husband John Briggs, a daughter Dorothy May, her parents, sisters, Olive Martin and Audrey Irvine, brothers, Ernest Irvine, Harold Irvine, Don Irvine, and Bill Irvine.
Eula is survived by a daughter Beverly Southern (Lee), Arlington, TX, grandchildren Bill Dorrell, Arlington TX, Kim Wempa, Mansfield TX, Nikki Southern, Kendell Southern and Jonathan Southern, all of Farmington NM, great grandchildren Jessica Dorrell, Denton TX, Noah Dorrell, Arlington,TX, Jakob Wempa ,Mansfield TX,Summer Coate, Dylan Southern, and Riley Southern , all of Arlington TX, one brother, Dale Irvine, Springfield, MO, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Eula moved from Springfield to St. Joseph MO in 1946, where she spent most of her life. She moved to Arlington, TX, twenty six years ago . While living in St. Joseph she baked and decorated cakes , including wedding cakes. She also taught Wilton Cake decorating classes. She was a life member of ICES and NARF . She was a member of First Baptist Church in Mansfield, TX at the time of her death.
The family will celebrate her life on Friday, August 12,2011 from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. in Greenlawn North Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 13, 2011 in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
