Eva Miller McConnell passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2026 at Magonlia Square Nursing Home. She was born on April 11, 1926 in Sugarloaf, Arkansas to Dan Smith Chilton and Ivy Myrtle Chilton. She retired from Federal Service in 1986. She was a member of NARFE until her death. She was a member of South Haven Baptist Church and a long time member of Boulevard Baptist Church. She was also a member of South Side Senior Center since its beginning.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Dan Smith and Ivy Myrtle Chilton her husband, Tom McConnell, two sons, Charles and his wife, Cherri and Mike Miller, a grand-daughter Rari Fugitt, and grandson: Ryan Bedwell, three brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by her granddaughter, Nikki and her husband, Greg, three great grandchildren, Kim, James and Brooke and nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association.
Graveside Services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home South.
