Evelyn Edna Long 94, Springfield, Mo. passed away Sunday, August 26, 2018, in her home, after a short illness. She was born October 4, 1923, in Pea Ridge, Arkansas, to Fred and Ruth (McCurty) Bolain. She was a retired line worker, with the Lilly Tulip Company, and attended the Church of the Harvest. In her spare time, Evelyn enjoyed crocheting, flowers,and gardening.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Herbert Long, two sisters: Iva Lee Spence and Wanda Caffey and one brother: Ivan Bolain a step-daughter: Shirley O'Bannon and one grandchild, David Snyder. Survivors include a step-daughter: Delores O'Dell and her husband Duane, Lenexa, KS. nine grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and one-great-great grandchild. She is also survived by one niece: Juanita and Evert Kaiser, and one nephew: Ken Caffey, and his wife, Jana.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 30, 2018, in White Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. before the graveside, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North
