Evelyn G. (Hensley) Wolfe, of Springfield, Mo., passed away in her apartment in Austin, Texas, on January 22, 2011 at the age of 90. She was born in Hartville, Mo., on June 16, 1920.
Evelyn was a secretary at O’Reilly General Army Hospital in Springfield, Mo, during World War II. In January 1946 she began working at Assemblies of God Headquarters where she worked for 39 years, many as an executive secretary. Central Assembly was her church home and she lived at Maranatha Village for several years before moving to Texas.
She is survived by her son Brian of Austin, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Ralph; her brother, Joe, of Seymour; and her parents, Gus and Gertrude.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, January 27, in Greenlawn North, 3506 N. National, Springfield, Mo. Services will follow at 10 a.m., Friday, January 28, 2011.
