Evelyn Ruth Thomas of Springfield, Missouri passed away peacefully in Republic Nursing and Rehabilitation on December 3, 2023.

Evelyn was born on March 24, 1936, in Rogersville, Missouri, the youngest daughter of Harve and Sarah (Triplett) Robb.  She went on to graduate from Rogersville High School. On December 9, 1955, Evelyn was united in marriage to Shelby R. Thomas.  From this union, one son, Del R. Thomas, was born.  They celebrated 40 years of marriage until Shelby’s untimely passing on August 19, 1996.

She was a diligent worker and often helped to clean various office spaces and private homes.  Evelyn enjoyed old country music and playing guitar.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother, Lawrence Robb; and two sisters, Beatrice Parnell, and Madge Denney.

She is survived by her son and his wife, Del and Suzanne Thomas; her grandson, Quinton Thomas; 2 stepsons, Jerry Thomas and Larry Thomas; two nieces, Sharon Alphin and Carmen Miller; and a special step-granddaughter, Cindy Scott; other family members and friends.

Evelyn will be laid to rest next to her husband in White Oak Cemetery in Rogersville, Missouri on Monday, December 18, 2023, at 12:00 p.m.
