Fern LaVaughn Pemwell, 83, Springfield, Mo., passed away on Saturday, June 20, in St. John’s Hospital. She was born on January 18, 1926 in Protem, Mo. She worked at Producers Produce for 30 years until her retirement. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Pemwell; mother, Nellie Jennings; father, Therman Blanton; two sisters, Jewell and Vervalee; and a brother, Joe. She is survived by a sister, Barbara Arnall; brother, Dick Blanton; numerous nieces and nephews and friends. She was a bright light in the lives of all who knew her. Her sweet spirit, kindness and humor will be missed. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, June 24, at 11 a.m. in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 6 to 8 p.m. in Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
