Fern Lois McNeley, 81, Springfield, MO, passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2024, in her home. She was born in Lebanon, MO. on September 26, 1942, to Elmer Lloyd and Helen Louise (Worthey)Strain. She was a retired employee of the Springfield Public School System, where she worked at Reed Junior High School in the cafeteria. She enjoyed being around the children and getting to know them. She enjoyed bowling and gambling, and animals.
Fern was preceded in death by her parents: Elmer and Helen Strain, her husband: Harry McNeley, three brothers: Donald, Mike, and Leroy Strain and her daughter-in-law: Debby McNeley, She is survived by her daughter: Cara Ludwig and her husband: Toby, her son Russell Allen McNeley a grand-daughter: Cameo Brown, two great-grandchildren: Ora Brown and Skye Brown, and a brother John Strain.
Graveside services will be at 1:00 P.M Friday, February 16, 2024, at White Chapel Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to The Greene County Humane Society. No visitation is planned
