Flint Allen Bryan, 64, passed away Sunday, April 11th, 2021 in his home, with his family by his side. He was born in El Dorado, Kansas on November 24th, 1956 to Jim and Pat Bryan.
Flint was an active member of South Campbell Avenue Baptist Church. For many years he led the congregational music, as well as directed the adult choir. However, his service didn’t stop there; evidence of his handiwork can be seen throughout the church property as he used his God-given talents of carpentry and leadership to glorify his Saviour, Jesus Christ.
Frequent camping trips with his wife and family were a highlight for everyone. Flint was the designated coffee brewer, breakfast maker, and most importantly – Keeper of the flame, aka the campfire. Many wonderful memories were created around that campfire.
Anyone who knew Flint would tell you about his strong work ethic. He was sought after for his knowledge and experience in the construction industry. He had a natural ability to read a blueprint, manage a construction project, or design a remodel. He was never too busy to lend a helping hand or do whatever was required to get the job done.
In all aspects of Flint’s life, he was a servant to others. He selflessly served his church, family, and work. He was an amazing example of strength, humility, and gentleness. Flint will be truly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Kim; his mother, Pat Bryan; 2 sons: Joshua Bryan and his wife Jami and Jeremy Bryan and his wife Amanda; daughter: Jennifer Ogan and her husband, Eric; 8 grandchildren: Kati, Kevin, Lexi, Liberty, Gavin, Wyatt, Audrie and David. He is also survived by his 3 brothers: Mark Bryan, Bart Bryan and Todd Bryan and their families, along with numerous members of his extended family. Flint was preceded in death by his father, Jim.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 16th, 2021 at Greenlawn Funeral Home North, with burial to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks Memorial Contributions be made to the South Campbell Avenue Baptist Church missions fund.
