Florence Elizabeth (Dixon) Stow, age 95, passed away at home on November 11, 2011. Florence was born to Finis Lewis and Lilly May (Reed) Dixon on May 20, 1916 and raised by her father and step-mother, Ona (Pierce) Dixon.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Paul; son George; granddaughter, Wendy; and two brothers, Lee and Jim Dixon.
She is survived by two sons, Jim and his wife, Shirley Stowe; Gene and his wife, Pat Stow; a daughter-in-law, Barbara Stow; eight grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. Florence was a strong Christian and a faithful member of North Star Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be Monday November 14, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. at Greenlawn North Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Maple Park Cemetery. Online condolences can be made to www.greenlawnfuneralhome.com.
