Funeral services for Floyd A. Combs age 82 of Highlandville, Missouri will be held at 7:00 PM, Thursday, February 16, 2012 at Greenlawn Funeral Home in Branson with Rev. Terry Carter officiating. Burial will be at a later date.
He died, Saturday, February 11, 2012 at St. Johns Regional Health Center in Springfield, Missouri.
He was born on May 18, 1929 in Kissee Mills, Missouri the son of John O. and Birdie M. May Combs. He had lived for thirty two years in the Kansas City area and moved to Highlandville, Missouri in 1990 where he was the owner of Comb’s Pest Control until his retirement. He was a U.S. army veteran where he spent three years in Korea. He was united in marriage to Naomi Mease on June 3, 1953 in Harrison, Arkansas and to this union was born seven children.
Survivors are his wife; Naomi Combs of the home. Six children; Alan Combs and wife Donna of Spokane, Missouri, Dwaine Combs and Mike Combs both of Highlandville, Bruce Combs and wife Caren of Taneyville, Steve Combs of Ozark, and Gwen Cummings and husband Danny of Highlandville. One brother, Norman Combs of Forsyth, Mo. Three Sisters; Mary Corca of Kansas City, Missouri, Juanita Fritze of Wichita, Kansas and Shelby Montes of Las Vegas, Nevada, 13 Grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and 3 step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Wade, and brother Vernon.
Visitation will be from 5 until 7 PM, Thursday, February 16, 2012 at Greenlawn Funeral Home in Branson.
