Fraley Christine Hughes Smith (58) of Greenfield, Missouri peacefully passed away on 16 December 2025, at Citizens Memorial Hospital Bolivar Missouri. Fraley had battled lupus for much of her adult life; she can now rest without the pains and struggles of that illness affecting her joy of life.
She was born on the 21st of September 1967 in El Dorado Arkansas and was the eldest daughter of Dennis Clanton and Veronica Ziolkowski. Fraley was a graduate of Ava High School (Mo) in 1985 and attended college at Southwestern State University. She loved to create and was an artist at heart, she had a fondness for the land, animals, and all that can be grown or made by one’s hands. She had a unique way of sharing who she was, one could say that knowing Fraley was not just knowing a person but with a personality, but that knowing her was an experience. She was a member of the Church of Latter Days Saints of Jesus Christ, she cherished her fellowship and worship.
She is survived by her mother Veronica Shaw of Hartville Mo. Her three children with Troy Smith of Shawnee Ok: Christine Reiswig (and husband Joshua), grandchildren: Addison Reiswig, Aiden Reiswig, and Amelia Reiswig of Wichita Ks, Tyler Smith of Kansas City Mo, and Isaac Smith (USCG, Petty Office 3rd) Sturgeon Bay, Wi. Sister Heidi Hughes and brother Cody Hughes. Stepsisters Debbie Hughes, Kimberly Hughes, Whitney Shaw, and Kelly Shaw. Fraley was preceded in death by her beloved stepfather Raymond Hughes and father Dennis Clanton.
The family will celebrate in the memories of her life and will extend invitations at the time that a service is scheduled.
