Francis R Withey, lovingly known as Frank or Butch, passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2026 in Mt. Vernon, Missouri at the age of 78
He was born on May 19, 1947 in Goodrich, Michigan to Francis Ray Withey and Betty Fichter. He has four brothers; Gilbert, Jerry, Dennis (deceased) and Russ. Frank served in the army from June of 1967 until his honorable discharge in June of 1969.
He moved to California where he met and married Kathleen Caddy on March 17, 1973. Together they had seven children. Frank retired after 20+ years from Pacific Bell and then had a second retirement after 10+ years from the Buena Park School District.
He leaves behind his children; Jenifer, Nichole (husband Curtis), Heather, Matthew, Brenda, Courtney and Kevin. He also leaves behind six grandchildren; Jacob, Mikaela (husband Scott), Jade, Alexia, Henry and Elliana.
Frank’s ashes will be laid to rest, in part, at the Greenlawn Cemetery and finally with his parents at the Riverside National Cemetery.
