Frank Coggins
Frank Coggins, age 65, of Springfield, Mo., passed away Friday, January 1, 2010, in his home. He was born March 10, 1944, in Yellville, Ark., to Dorthel and Eva (Lackey) Coggins. He was a member of Hillside Baptist Church for over 30 years. He is survived by his wife (childhood sweetheart) of 44 years, Maxine Coggins; son, Lynn Coggins and wife Trecia; grandchildren, Adlena and Marlin Coggins; mother-in-law, Mary Adkins; two brothers, many nieces and nephews, and a large extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Michael Coggins; brothers, Archie Coggins and Darrell Coggins; sisters, Sarah Hall and Augusta Sutterfield. Frank retired from City Utilities after 32 years of service as a heavy equipment operator. His favorite times were deer hunting and camping with his grandchildren. To many other children, he was known as “Papa Frank”. Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, January 4, 2010, in Hillside Baptist Church with Reverend Cecil Tolbert officiating. Burial will be Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at 1 p.m. in Galatia Cemetery in Norfork, Ark. Visitation will be held Sunday, January 3, 2010, 6 to 8 p.m. in Hillside Baptist Church.
