Frank D. Powell was born April 24, 1922 and went home to his Lord and Savior on December 14, 2012. Frank spent his life of over 90 years as a loving husband, father, son, brother, grandpa and great-grandpa. Frank was devoted to his church and family, leaving a legacy of friendship and service. Frank is survived by his wife Rebecca Ann, Celebrating 70 years of marriage, daughters Judy Glover, Pam (Danny) Southard, Robin Powell and Trudy (Tim) Baker, a sister Mary (Tommy) Shaffer, grandchildren Angela (Brad) Zibilski, Tressa (Brad) Champion, Kyle (Lacy) Baker, Claire Baker, Taylor Baker, Todd (Denise) Glover and Kelly (Walter) DeBona and great-grandchildren Reagan, Zane, Via, Rhen, Dannie, Charlie, Aly, Mia, Chance, Hannah and Mia and nieces and nephews. He loved golf and he served as deacon at Boulevard Baptist Church as well as served his country in the Coast Guard during World War II. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at 9:30 am in Greenlawn Funeral Home South with a private burial following. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Boulevard Baptist Church.
