Frank Dudley Foster, 96, of Springfield, went home to be with the Lord on January 16, 2013 in his home surrounded by his family. Frank was born July 8, 1916 in Bruner, Missouri to Dudley and Ethel Foster. He worked most of his life as a master carpenter, he has left a legacy in this area with the homes and buildings that he built. Frank will be remembered by his family as a prankster. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Joyce; his parents; one son, Dudley; and one grandson, Jeff; and one brother –in-law, Billy Inmon. Frank is survived by his two sons, Mark E. Foster and wife Kim and their children Justin Cobb and Lilly Foster of Springfield and Donald Foster and wife Sharon of Ozark, Missouri; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; one brother-in-law Gene Inmon; one sister-in-law Darlene McLaughlin and a host of friends and family. Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, January 19, 2013 in Greenlawn Funeral Home North with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Friday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Palliative Care in care of the funeral home.
