Frank D. Hodges, age 83, of Mount Vernon, MO, passed away April 28, 2012, at Cox South. He was born June 2, 1928, in Saint Joseph, MO, to Ezra and Zora (Bell) Hodges.
Frank lead a very active life. He worked for Westinghouse six year, then as a jet engine technician for 31 years with TWA. After relocating to Mount Vernon, he worked nine years for the Department of Parks & Recreation.
He married Thelma Blevins on December 9, 1951, and to this union two sons were born.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents and eight siblings. He is survived by his wife, Thelma; sons, Russell and wife, of Kearney, MO, Marvin and wife, of Holt, MO, five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and his sister, Darlene Marshall of Mount Vernon.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 30, 2012, at Mount Vernon Christian Church, with Rev. Mark Engler officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Vernon Cemetery, Mount Vernon, MO.
