Gail Walden Crossen , 87, of Bolivar, MO passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at Citizens Memorial Healthcare Facility. He was born August 4, 1924 in Washington DC to the late Gail Walden Crossen, Sr. and Helen Agnes (Baumgartner) Crossen. He attended George Washington University, Washington DC, and graduated from Ohio State University with a degree in Civil Engineering. Gail spent his entire career working for the State of Wisconsin Highway Department.
Gail loved his family and was an outdoorsman. He was an avid golfer and fisherman.
He is survived by his wife, Agnes of the home, three sons, James Crossen & wife Christeen, from Alaska; John Crossen & wife Kitti, and David Crossen & wife Pam, all from Wisconsin; one daughter, Carol Yenter of Washington; and two step-daughters , Mary Haer and husband Gary, Weston, MO; and Kathleen Giamanaco & husband Charlie, Kirkwood, MO; 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Gail Walden Crossen will be 1:00 PM Saturday, September 10, 2011 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, in Bolivar, MO. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery, Bolivar. Visitation will be Friday, September 9, 2011 from 6-8 PM in the chapel.
