Gary D. Thein, 67, passed away at home on August 26th , after a courageous battle with MS. Gary was born in Iowa City, Iowa on September 25th, 1944. Gary graduated from Cedar Falls High School, class of 1962. Gary was employed by Roses’ Beauty Supply for 25 years, and finished his sales’ career at Standard/Aerial Beauty Supply. Gary and his wife Debb moved to Branson, MO in 2002 to enjoy warm weather, boating, and retirement! Gary loved nothing more than to spend the day on the water, playing cards, fishing, or cheering on his favorite football team (go UNI and Hawkeyes).
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Debra Thein, Walnut Shade, MO; his daughter and spouse, Christine and Marty Reyhons, Davenport, IA; his grandson, Grayson Reyhons, Davenport, IA; his sister and spouse, Charleen and Dale Poppy, Vista, CA; father-in-law, Howard Powers, Marion, IA; brother and sister-in-law Don and Colleen Powers, Solon, IA; Jim Powers, Grinnell, IA; sister and brother-in-law Becky and Karryl Anderson, Alabaster, AL; and many beloved nieces and nephews, extended family, and circle of friends.
