It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gary Wayne Barham, who left us on November 17, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on September 27, 1947, in Springfield, MO, Gary lived a full and vibrant life as a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend. He spent his days working on the land as a farmer and rancher in Halfway, MO, where he built a legacy of hard work and dedication. He was united in marriage to Judy May 26, 1987.

Gary was saved at 11 years of age at Lindley Creek Missionary Baptist Church. He was a life-long member of Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church. He loved hunting in Colorado, fishing wherever fish could be found. He enjoyed supporting all his grandchildren’s activities, teaching them how to fish and hunt, and telling them his stories. He was a life-long cattle rancher.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents Max Burton and Floradelle (Quick) Barham, and his oldest daughter Waynetta Lynn Johansen.

Gary is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Judy Barham; his five children, Joey Barham, Alisha Sharp (Jody), Andrew Doak, Amanda Roberts (Ryan), and April Mease (Tyler); eight grandchildren: Elavia, Jaka, Victoria, Reed, Avner, Leora, Lex, and Ala; his brother Tom Barham (Tina) and sister Beverly Mygatt; a son in-law David Johansen; as well as many other relatives and friends. He leaves behind a family that admires his unwavering spirit and strong values.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Ragsdale Cemetery, where friends and family will gather to honor Gary’s life.
