Ms. Gene E. Johnson, 81, of Springfield, Missouri went peacefully in her sleep after her battle with Alzheimer’s on May 27, 2013 at Springfield Rehab.
Gene was a retired Traffic Service Officer for the Springfield Police Department after 35 years of service. She wrote over 100,000 tickets which totaled over $1,000,000.00 in fines.
She is survived by her daughter Gina Johnson and a son John W. Johnson Jr. She is also survived by a granddaughter Jessica M. Johnson, grandson Andrew Micheal Allen; cousins Roseanne and Don Moffatt and David and Donna Moffatt from Indianapolis, Nancy and Randy Green from Cincinnati, Don and Angelia from Atlanta, Linda and Ed Mobley from Chicago and many other relatives and friends.
A Memorial Service for Gene will be 3:00 P.M. Thursday, June 6, 2013 at Greenlawn Funeral Home East. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 5, 2013 in the funeral home.
