Gene Pierce, born October 2, 1923 in Winfrey, Ark., to George Washington Pierce and Stella Ida (Newlon) Pierce went home to Jesus April 5th, 2011 at the age of 87 years. Gene was surrounded by his loving family.
Gene is survived by his loving wife Geneva sharing 64 years of marriage. To this marriage three loving daughters were born; Susie Newman and husband David, Wilda Dickens, Virginia Rodgers and husband Dennis. In addition to his wife, daughters and their families Gene is survived by eleven grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren; one sister, Pauline Meadows of Fayetteville, Ark.; many loving nieces; nephews and friends. Gene was a dedicated Pa-Pa to his grandchildren.
Gene worked the Texas oil fields, as a logger in Arkansas and retired as a pipe fitter. Gene was a Master Mason and member of the Abou Ben Adhem Shrine and proudly served his country in the Navy as Sea Bee 1941-1946.

Visitation will be 12-1 p.m. Friday April 8th, 2011 Graveside services will be held Friday at 1:30 in Greenlawn North. Any donations may be made to the Shriners Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.
