With heavy hearts, yet with great rejoicing, because we know to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord, we announce the passing of Geneva Yvonne (Morrison) McQuerter- Noll, a beloved mother, grandmother, and sister. Born on July 8, 1935, in Christian County, Missouri, to Floyd Ralph and Drady Naomy (Nelson) Morrison. Geneva departed from this world on February 24, 2024, at her residence in Willard, Missouri. She peacefully passed away due to natural causes, surrounded by her loving family.
Geneva devoted her life to Christ and served people with compassion, she served people through waitressing at Tiny’s Smokehouse for many years. Then she moved her service to nurse’s aide in the home healthcare industry for several more years. Through her work, she touched countless lives with her caring nature and unwavering dedication to those in need. Her kindness and warmth knew no bounds, leaving a lasting impact on all who were fortunate enough to know her. Geneva had a special bond with God and her church. Many describe her as an angel on Earth. She had the gift of making every person who met her feel special. With her faith she witnessed to numerous people over her lifetime, did her best to make sure heaven would be full and overflowing with those she came in contact with.
Geneva loved to sing her favorite hymns, dance to her favorite songs, and take care of her grandchildren, and nieces and nephews who also affectionately called her grandma.
She was met in heaven by her parents, two brothers, Harold and Don Morrison; her first husband, Kenneth McQuerter; a second husband Murron Noll; and an infant grandchild McQuerter.
Geneva leaves behind cherished memories with her sons, Jon and Mike McQuerter, daughter-in-law Jacque McQuerter, and adoring grandchildren: Noah, Anna, Zoe, Lauren, and Jacob. She shared a special bond with her sister, Dorothy Nutter, and their connection will forever be cherished. She also will be missed by her stepchildren, Kenny, Rex and Cathy McQuerter, and beloved stepchildren, other members of the Noll family, and countless other family members and friends.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate and reflect on Geneva’s life on February 29, 2024, at 11:30 am at New Life Baptist Church, followed by a moving funeral service at 1:00 pm in the same location 414 E. New Melville Rd, Willard, MO 65781. She will be laid to rest with Kenneth in Rose Hill Cemetery, Willard, Missouri. Family and friends are invited to honor and remember Geneva’s legacy, reflecting on her exemplary life and the love she shared with all.
Geneva Noll’s impact resonates far and wide, and though she may have departed this world, her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known her. May she rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love and light she brought to those around her.
