Genevieve Charlene (Revard) Sawyer went to be with Jesus on August 5, 2016.
Genni was born to Charles and Edna Nichols on January 23, 1934 in Independence, Missouri. She was raised in Humansville, MO where she met and married Raymond E. Revard. They later divorced. From this union were born 4 children, Patricia, Cindy, Jeanie, and Tommy. She later married Glenn Sawyer who preceded her in death.
Her faith in Jesus Christ gave her great hope that one day she would trade in her frail body for a new one in glory. This belief in Jesus Christ gave her comfort in her final days.
She was preceded in death by her parents Charles & Edna Nichols, siblings Brooksie, Lucille, and Bud and infant son Tommy.
Genni is survived by a sister Jean Bates, daughters and their spouses, Patricia Mathes, Cindy and Lonnie McFadden and Jeanie and Stuart German. Grandchildren Stephanie (Chris) Keck, Emily (Ronnie) Bennett, Jeff Clark, Chris (Lizzy) McFadden, Nathan German, Erika German, Jared German. Great grandchildren Haley (Kaden) Overstreet and Chase Bennett. And 1 great great grandchild Myles Overstreet. Several nieces, nephews and close church family.
A celebration of Genni’s life will be held on Friday, August 12th at 1:00. The service will be held at the Oak Grove Assembly of God in Springfield. Visitation will be Thursday, August 11th from 6-8 pm at Greenlawn Funeral Home East, 3540 E. Seminole, Springfield, MO. Burial will be at Shady Grove Cemetery in Aldrich, MO.
