George Pendergrass age 88, of Pleasant Hope, MO, passed away Thursday, December 3, 2020, at the Citizens Memorial Healthcare Facility Bolivar, MO.  He was born September 23, 1932, in Greene County, MO, to Bill and Betha (Snider) Pendergrass.  He was united in marriage to Mary Elena Willoughby September 22, 1951.  He was saved as a young teenager.  He was a union carpenter for over 60 years and member of the local #978.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 69 years Mary Elena Pendergrass; and three sisters: Zola Carter, Nola Williamson, and Mary Louise Stamper.

George is survived by his son Rick Pendergrass and his wife Rhonda of Pleasant Hope, MO; one grandson Josh Pendergrass of Pleasant Hope, MO; four sisters: Wilma Cardwell (Leonard), Juanita Howerton, and Jeanie Replogle (Don) all of Marshfield, MO, and Sharon Frahm of Wisconsin; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am Monday, December 7, 2020, at Rock Prairie Cemetery Halfway, MO.  Friends and family may call at their own convenience Sunday, December 6, 2020, from 1:00 to 5:00 pm in the funeral home, due to the covid-19 pandemic.  Online condolences may be made at: www.greenlawnfuneralhome.com.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Pitts Chapel Bolivar, MO.
