Georgia Ruth Jennings, age 97, of Springfield, MO, passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2013, at Springfield Rehab and Health Care. She was born on May 17, 1916 in, Weaubleau, MO, where she operated a beauty shop for many years. After retirement her and her husband, Glen Jennings moved to Springfield. She was married to Glen on February 17, 1943. She enjoyed sewing, fishing and wintering in Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband, Glen. Mrs. Jennings is survived by three nephews; David Jennings and his wife, of Memphis, TN, Richard Miller of Carthage, and Gary Miller and his wife of Springfield. Funeral services will be on Thursday, June 13, 2013, at 1:00 p.m., in Brentwood Christian Church, 1900 E. Barataria, Springfield, MO with burial following in Hazelwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service starting at noon in the church. Services have been entrusted in Greenlawn Funeral Home South.
