Geraldine “Gerry” Hill, age 96, of Springfield, MO., passed away on Easter Sunday March 31, 2024, at Woodland Manor. Geraldine was born to Henry Gerhart and Lottie Gerhart on March 28, 1928 in Springfield, MO. Geraldine was united in marriage to Carl Edwin Hill,on October10. 1945, who preceded her in death. She was a member of Hamlin Memorial Baptist Church, for over 60 years and retired from Lily Tulip Cup Company, where she was an inspector.
Geraldine was preceded in death by her father, Henry Gerhart; mother, Lottie Gerhart, husband, Carl Edwin Hill, her grand-daughter, Kate Hill, and her infant grandson Hill. Her sisters: Pauline Smith and Gladys Dickey;and two brothers Pete Gerhart, and Henry Gerhart Jr. She is survived by her sons: Stephan Hill and his wife, Cathy, and Robert Hill and his wife, Janet, her grandchildren: Christopher Hill, Jeremy Hill, Amber Zamora, and Joshua Hill, and her great-grandchildren: Stephen Hill II, Kaden Yaeger, Zachary Beau Lane, Ari Zamora, and Miles Hill.
A visitation for Geraldine will be held on Thursday, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. with services to follow at 3:00 at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Memorial Donations may be made to the St. Judes Childrens Hospital or to the Hamlin Memorial Baptist Church.
