Gladys “JoAnn” Moore, 80, was born August 29, 1930 and passed away Saturday afternoon, February 26, 2011 at 3:42 P.M. in Cox South Hospital.
She was a member of Central Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willis Moyer and Gladys Moyer-Flock; brother, Willis “Buddy” Moyer; sisters, Donna Tetrick, Kathleen Graham, and Beverly Dewitt; grandson, Jerry Johnson; and son-in-law, Michael Stephens.
She is survived by her husband of sixty years, Ralph C. Moore, Jr. ; their four children, Donna Stephens, Georgetown, TX., Patricia Moore, Nixa, MO., Charles Moore and wife Kathy, Springfield, Mo., and Sally “Jane” Reynolds and husband Ken, Springfield, MO.; eight grandchildren, Jeff Michael and wife Tonya, Jeremy Michael and wife Brooke, Karen Roberts and husband Michael, Doug Carter and wife Amanda, Angela Moore, Charles “Tony” Moore, Jennifer Reynolds, and Kari Reynolds; seven great-grandchildren, Brady and Riley Michael, Taylor Sullivan and Corbin Michael, Dawson and Ethan Roberts, and Zachary Moore; her brother, Jerry D. Moyer and his wife, Mariella Mae of Bella Vista, Ark.; brother-in-law, Bert Dewitt of Springfield, MO; numerous nieces; nephews; cousins; extended family; and friends.
Visitation will be held in Greenlawn Funeral Home North on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held in Central Baptist Church, 2148 N. National, Springfield, on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at 10:00 A.M., with Pastor Robert Burnett and Reverend Gaylen Bare officiating. Interment will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
