Gladys Sarah Burnett, age 89, of Brookline Station, MO, passed away Tuesday, January 4, 2011 in Jordan Creek Nursing Home. She was born February 7, 1921, in Atchinson County, MO, to Charles and Lillian (Bunn) Greene.
She was a member of the Wilson’s Creek Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She loved to play the piano and to spread the good news.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Lillian Greene; husband, Lloyd Burnett; a daughter, Betty Hill; and a brother, Paul Greene.
She is survived by a son, Ben Burnett of Alpherta GA.; four grandchildren, her favorite granddaughter, Cindy Rambo and husband Brian, Chris Burnett, Chad Burnett, and Channing Burnett; and numerous great- grandchilden.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 20, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. in Wilson’s Creek Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses with Matthew Williams officiating.
Services have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home North, Springfield, MO.
