Glen Loyd Berg, of Springfield, passed away Thursday, October 4, 2012. He was born October 25, 1920 in Lebanon, Mo. He graduated from Lebanon High School in 1939, then served as a Navy pilot in a Black Cat squadron in the Pacific during World War II. He then earned a degree in Geology from the University of Missouri and worked as a cartographer for the Defense Mapping Agency in St Louis.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Emil and Hazel Berg, and his daughter Elaine Berg.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kathleen Berg; son, David Berg of St. Louis; step-son, Kenneth McHenry of Provo, Utah; brother, Clyde Berg of Lebanon; sisters, Fern Rodgin and Bonita Randolph of Lebanon; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be in Greenlawn North on Friday, October 12 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., services will be held in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at 1357 S. Ingram Mill Rd, Springfield, Saturday October 13 at 9:00 a.m. Internment will follow services in Hazelwood Cemetery in Springfield, Mo.
