Following Glenda’s service, there will be a formal procession from the funeral home to the cemetery.
Glenda will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens following her funeral service (Section E Lot 225 Grave 4).

Glenda Mae Kellerhals Chambers Sissell, age 80 years, 6 months, and 23 days, of Nixa, Missouri, passed away suddenly on January 12, 2024, following a brief illness while vacationing in Florida. Glenda Mae was born June 20, 1943, in Elgin, Texas, to Glenn Verlin and Lillian Lottie (nee Schaper) Kellerhals. She was raised in Manes, Missouri, and graduated from Hartville High School in 1961. Glenda was united in marriage to Joe Thomas Chambers on February 10, 1962. Joe and Glenda shared 45 years of marriage before Joe’s untimely death in March 2007. The couple was blessed with two children, David and Timothy. In April 2009, Glenda was united in marriage to Carroll (Sonny) Sissell until his death in December 2022.
Glenda was employed with Zenith for more than 30 years until the closure of the factory. She enjoyed gardening, genealogy, quilting, sewing, and crocheting. Glenda was a member of the North Nixa Baptist Church. She accepted Christ at the age of twelve years and was baptized in the Gasconade River by Pastor Will Burney.
Glenda is survived by her son, David and his wife, Nancy and their children: Blake, Kayla, Alicia, Stephen, and Stephanie; and by her son, Timothy and his children, Amanda and Cassidy. She is also survived by her sister, Nancy Sue McDaris and her husband, Roy; eight great grandchildren; as well as numerous family members and friends. She was preceded in death by an infant brother, Glenn Jr., her parents, Glenn and Lillian; her sister, Norma Darline Beavers; and her brothers-in-law, Larry Chambers, Leroy Mitchell, and Roy David Beavers.
A visitation for Glenda will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024, from 1:00 pm until 2:30 pm at Greenlawn Funeral Home North in Springfield, Missouri. A funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation at 2:30 pm with burial to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
