Glenda was born April 12, 1922 in Patterson, Missouri (Wayne County). She was the daughter of Shelton Tee Cobb and Mary Ethel Montgomery Cobb.
Teaching was her career after graduating from Cape Girardeau State University and later Washington University in St. Louis. She taught forty-one years in a variety of grade levels specializing in Primary Education.
Glenda and Milton joined Schweitzer in 1990.
Glenda has no children, no sisters and one brother, Shel Cobb of St. Louis, and one niece, Mary Cobb Kretschmann.
She leaves behind her beloved husband, Milton E. Hamilton of many years.
Funeral services will be on Monday, August 13, 2012 , at 1:30 pm in Greenlawn Funeral Home South with burial on Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2012 at 11:30 am in Montgomery Cemetery in Wayne County. A Visitation will be on Sunday, August 12, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm in the funeral home.
