Glenda Maiden, a talented musician, whose music inspired and touched the lives of many, was received by Christ this past Thursday. She was 62.
Glenda died at the home of long-time family friends in St. Louis, after a difficult battle with cancer.
Glenda was full of life and love, and her passion for Christ was demonstrated through her incredible life and soul-moving music. She was born in Springfield, MO. on February 12, 1950, and graduated from the University of Kansas in Lawrence, KS, and she touched the lives of many nation-wide.
Glenda was preceded in death by her parents Lloyd and Irma Mapes. She is survived by her husband Tom, daughter Jaime, son Bryan and sister Mary.
A visitation will be held Sunday, September 23, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Funeral Home South and the funeral service will be on Monday September 24, at 10:00 am at the funeral home with burial following at Rivermonte Memorial Gardens.
