I became acquainted with dearest Glendon and Anna when I began volunteering at the Strafford Senior Center in 2015. Glendon quickly became my favorite buddy. He reminded me so much of my own father who also passed away this year from Alzheimers. I never saw Glendon without a smile. I will miss him so much, but I am happy for him that his struggle is over and he is with the Lord. I pray for the Walker family during this difficult time. I am so blessed to have known you, Glendon.

My condolences to the entire Walker Family. Glen is an example of a life well lived. When I came to Springfield in 1990 to take over a family business Glen was the first to welcome me to town. We built a relationship few knew about as I looked at him for mentorship. I would call him often in the early days of transitioning from all brokerage to trucking. We would talk about insurance, drivers, owner ops, and other vendors to partner with. While competitors at business he never viewed it that way and really had an impact on how I view competition and the industry. Glen will always be known as an Ambassador of the Transportation community in Springfield, Missouri and any where else he touched. I know beyond work he lived a blessed life one we could all aspire too!

Our hearts are heavy for the Walker and Transland families - Glen Walker was a true leader in the trucking industry who always worked from a foundation of "doing what is right" and fair dealings with all - competitors, vendors, and customers alike. His efforts to improve the industry continue this day through the legacy of a company & family he and Anna built together. Melissa and I so appreciate getting to know Glen and are keeping you all in our prayers.

I was very sorry to hear of Glen's passing. I recall his support and interest in the Springfield Boys and Girls Club. He would volunteer with the local PGA golf tournament to provide support to the Boys and Girls Club. Mark and Mike, please know that you and your families will be in my thoughts and prayers.
