Gloria A. Spratt, 80, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away on March 1, 2013 in her home after a long term illness. Gloria was born July 9, 1932 to Russell and Lily Kuhn. She attended Willard and Central High Schools, graduating from Central in 1950. She then went on to attend and graduate from Missouri State University with a Bachelor degrees in Home Economics and Education. Gloria taught school in St. Louis Missouri from 1955-1959, she than worked at Kraft Foods from 1970-1980, before working in area treatment facilities from 1980-1989. Since 1989 Gloria has had her own private practice. She was united in marriage to Herbert C. Spratt on December 4, 1963 in St. Petersburg, Florida. Gloria was a licensed Advanced Substance Abuse Professional; she was a member of the Springfield Twelve Step Programs. Gloria loved scenic areas, traveling, and shopping. Her greatest love was being devoted to helping others. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Gloria is survived by one son, Robert R. Spratt of Springfield. A celebration of Gloria’s life will be Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at the Unity Spiritual Center West, 3233 S. Kauffman Road, Springfield, Missouri 65807, with a reception to follow the services.
