Gnila Lee Oberbeck was welcomed into this world on November 7, 2007.  From the beginning, Gnila had a spark that was uniquely hers.  As she grew, that spark became a flame that fiercely encompassed everyone and everything she loved.  She had a wild, free and adventurous spirit!  Our girl was anything but average.  Gnila was a collector… of pets, people, things that fed her soul and added to the uniqueness of her legacy.

Gnila was a graduate of OTC. This was an incredibly proud achievement! If she wasn’t anywhere to be found, she was typically leading a pack of friends to the creek behind her home, riding the 4-wheeler with her brother Patrick Keagen, kicking the soccer ball with her brother Kavanaugh, sharing secret “insider information with her “little big” sister Cara, or gaming online with her cousin Alexis.

Gnila had a passion for saving animals.  Over the last 5 years, Gnila collected Berlioz, Phineas, Tito & Iris.  She gave Scout a family.  A VERY large family.  She loved rescuing & loving the outcasts, and the abandoned.

Our girl had a beauty that far surpasses average.  Even more than physical beauty, her soul was what drew her many friends to her.

Her best friend put it best: “I am a museum of everything I have loved!”

She was exactly this! Each friend, newly acquired pet, adventure, they each had a story.  Gnila actively sought a life that was beyond average.  She searched for a meaning and value to life.  She was looking forward to going to OTC to become a sonographer.

Gnila was taken from her family and friends far too soon.  She is survived by her mother, Amy Oberbeck; sister, Cara Oberbeck; brothers, Patrick Keagen Brennen and Kavanaugh Nole Brennan.  Gnila is also survived by Patrick Brennan, owner of “dad’s snack shack”, Bobby Hoskins and the Hoskins family; grandfather, Garrett Lavon Caudle; uncle, Nicholas Oberbeck and wife Tarah and family; as well as a host of extended family and friends.
