Gordon Falconer, age 90 of Springfield, MO went home to be with his Lord on Friday February 18, 2022.
He was born March 10, 1931, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, to James and Hattie Mae Falconer. He met his wife Carol while attending Central Bible Institute in Springfield, and they were united in marriage in 1954. He attended Evangel Tabernacle where he was a member of the choir. He was a pastor with the Assemblies of God in the US and Canada for 50 years and ministered in several States as well as in British Columbia and Alberta, Canada. He loved music, traveling, sharing the gospel, and reminiscing with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 4 sisters, as well as his wife of 63 years, Carol.
He is survived by his sons and their wives Mark and Stella (Spreng) Falconer of Springfield, MO, and Scott and Jamie (McWilliams) Falconer of Ackworth, GA. He had 3 grandsons (James, Sean, and Jonathan), and is also survived by other relatives, friends, and his church family.
A private graveside service will be held and a Celebration of Life Memorial Service is being planned for a future date. The family suggests in lieu of flowers, that contributions in Gordon’s name be made to Convoy of Hope or to the Assemblies of God World Missions Department.
