Shawn P Oberg left a message on January 18, 2024:
I am so glad I had the opportunity to meet and serve Gordon and Blanche as their Chaplain at Maranatha Village for these past few years. He was a good boyhood friend of my dad, Robert Oberg, in Iron River, Michigan. They grew up in the Assembly of God church there, and my grandparents, Paul & Berneice Oberg attended their wedding. So we had a good "Yooper" connection! I will miss his warm smile and gentle demeanor.

Gordon was always there when I needed advice or a shoulder to cry on. I will miss my big brother's words and especially his smile.
