Grace Potter, 63, passed away peacefully Tuesday, October 31. She was born June 29, 1960 in Richards-Gebaur Air Force Base to William “Bill” and Judyth (Sage) Ramsey. She was employed for 20+ years with CoxHealth in Springfield.
She loved traveling and enjoyed bucket list trips to England and Alaska in the past year, going on adventures with her grandson, gardening and feeding the local wildlife, her HGTV shows and Hallmark movies. She was a Jimmy Buffett fan who enjoyed traveling to unite with Parrotheads and celebrate like it is five o’clock somewhere.
She was preceded in death by her father (William Ramsey), father-in-law (Hank Potter), brother (Michael Ramsey), and husband (Thomas Potter). She is survived by her daughters Amanda (Zack Pemberton) and Alissa (Corry Oliver); grandson Kamden Pemberton; mother Judy Ramsey; sister Tara Ramsey; her beloved furbabies Beau, Sam and Callie; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Grace would have wanted her celebration of life to be just that…a celebration. Our wishes are that everyone who comes to her services are dressed in bright or tropical clothing in honor of her trip to the eternal Margaritaville.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 7th from 6pm to 8pm at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Funeral services will be 1pm on Wednesday, November 8th at Greenlawn North. Graveside service will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens following the service for family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Springfield Dream Center.
