Mrs. Gracie Irene Carpenter was born on Wednesday, March 14, 1945, in Moab, Utah. She was the daughter of Leonard Frank Lampton and Euella Marie Lampton. Gracie married the love of her life, Jerry, on January 3, 1977 and together they raised their two daughters. Gracie retired from the 30th Circuit Youth Services as Kitchen Supervisor after 11 years. Gracie attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses Bolivar, MO. On Saturday, April 24, 2010 Gracie passed peacefully, in her home.
Her parents precede her in death.
She is survived by her husband; Jerry Gene Carpenter of Morrisville, Missouri; two daughters, Sharon Ann Gordon of Patrick Springs, Virginia and Cherrelle Kay Hitchcock of Springfield, Missouri; sister, Ila Marie Smith of Floresville, Texas; brother, Richard Duane Lampton of Cedaredge, Colorado; a half sister Karen Barbour of Eureka, California; and two grandchildren, Ayla Nunnehi Delana Grace Gordon and Kael Madock Hitchcock; and her faithful dog, “Little Girl.”
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, April 30, 2010, in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses Bolivar, 945 State Hwy 32 Bolivar, MO 65613.
