Ty Hashagen, of Nixa, Missouri passed away Saturday, July 17, 2021 at the age of 59 in Springfield, Missouri while surrounded by family. Ty was born on November 7, 1961 to David and Patsy Hashagen in Springfield, Missouri. After graduating from Parkview High School in Springfield, MO he met his wife while attending college at Missouri State University (formerly Southwest Missouri State University). In 1982 Ty married Linda Hashagen and together they raised a daughter, Amy Allen and a son, Brad Hashagen.
Ty was Papa to three grandchildren, Addison, Elijah, and Alyse, whom he loved so much and was extremely proud of. Ty truly loved being a grandparent and always made sure the grandchildren never lacked ice cream or candy and also ensured they had as much fun around him as possible. His grandchildren love and admire him greatly.
Ty loved being outdoors, and especially loved to fish and hunt. He was a fan of both the St. Louis Cardinals and Kansas City Chiefs. Ty enjoyed spending time and making memories with his family and had a lot of friends whom he also cared for greatly and enjoyed spending time with.
Ty has many family members who love him and hold special memories of him including his father, David Hashagen, mother-in-law Nancy Love, wife of 38 years, Linda Hashagen, daughter Amy Allen, son Brad and wife Jessica Hashagen, brother Chris Hashagen, brother Jay and wife Christi Hashagen, sister Paige and husband Ben King, sister-in-law Debbie Snyder, brother-in-law Chuck and wife Diane Love, granddaughters Addison and Alyse, grandson Elijah, along with several nieces and nephews and other family and friends.
Ty was welcomed at Heaven’s Gates by his mother, Patsy Hashagen, father-in-law Tommy Love, grandparents, Cleo and Imogene Hashagen, grandparents Ted and Margaret Wolfe, brother-in-law Mike Love, and several other members of his extended family.
A memorial service for Gregory “Ty” Hashagen will be at 3:00 pm Friday, July 23, 2021 at Greenlawn Funeral Home East. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 3:00 pm prior to the service.
