Gregory Wayne (Greg) Barnhart age 61, of Ozark, passed away Saturday October 26, 2013 at the Cox South Hospital in Springfield.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 p.m. on Saturday November 2, 2013 at the Greenlawn Funeral Home East in Springfield with Bro. Gary Robertson and Pastor Brandin Melton officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.
He was born August 6, 1952 in Iberia, the son of Wayne and Betty Barnhart. On January 2, 2010, he married Stephanie Chambers and she survives.
Greg is also survived by his parents of Springfield; children Nichole Stephens (Matt) of Osage Beach, Natasha Herbert (Andy) of Grain Valley, Shane Barnhart (Sara) of Republic, Justin Barnhart (Leah) of Clever, Briana Barnhart (David) of Springfield; six grandsons; step-son James Oney (Melisa) of Walnut Grove; Stepdaughters Tana Oney (Lorenzo) of Elk City, OK, Shelbie Chambers of Ozark; one step-grandson and one step-granddaughter. Other survivors include
brother David Barnhart (Karlette) of Lexington, KY; sisters Diane Neeley (Howard) of Republic, Cathy Veach (John) of Bowling Green; in-laws Sheri and Jerry Ducker of Ozark, sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, aunts, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. He was preceded in death by one daughter in infancy Monica Jean Barnhart.
Greg was raised in Iberia and was a 1970 graduate of Iberia High School. He attended Missouri State University in Springfield. He had been owner and general manager of Iberia Auto Supply and had been employed by several auto supply stores in the Waynesville, Richland and Springfield areas. He had also been senior account executive and zone manager of Federal Mogul Corporation. He served as a former board member for Nixa School District. Greg enjoyed music, woodworking, camping and fishing. He loved his children and his family. Greg had been a member of the Iberia Nazarene Church and most recently was attending the Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church.
