Guy Stanly Stroup, age 83 of Battlefield, passed away on June 26, 2024 at his home. Guy was born to Guy S. Stroup and Irene (Webb) Stroup on October 27, 1940 in Indianapolis IN. He was raised in Gentry, AR and graduated from Parkview High School in Springfield. Guy was united in marriage to Nancy Ann Bartlett on June 1, 1963 in Leominster, MA. Guy and Nancy were married for 41 years before Nancy passed in 2004. The couple were blessed with three children, Tracy, Cyndi, and William.

Guy proudly served in the United States Army. He was employed by Solo Cup in Springfield Mo and retired in 2003. Guy enjoyed traveling with family and friends. He also enjoyed time with family, and loved his pets. Guy will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

Guy was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ray Lee; and wife, Nancy. He is survived by daughter, Tracy (Jim) Parsons; daughter, Cyndi (Andrew) Dodson; and son, William; grandchildren: Cameron Dodson, McKenzie Dodson, and Tanner (Mariah) Dodson. Guy is also survived by special friends, Paula and CJ French-Warner.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
